This means that you can use our espresso blends to pull great shots even if you don't have tens of thousands of dollars of espresso equipment. I have an espresso machine, how do I get best results with your espresso?For our medium espresso (Bean's), we generally recommend shooting for a 2.5-3:1 ratio. This means if you make your puck 18g of coffee, you should shoot for between 45 and 54g of espresso in the cup. Tamp your puck using roughly 35 lbs of pressure, make sure the puck is not on a slant after tamping. Ideally the extraction should last between 25 and 35 seconds; if the pull takes too long, grind coarser, if it is too short, grind finer. I ordered espresso ground coffee, and there isn't adequate crema- what's wrong with my coffee?Nothing is wrong! For all coffee, we think you'll get the best results by ordering whole bean. I think that, perhaps, the most common question I have received since founding Kitty Town in 2017 is, "Which coffee is your favorite?" Well, here it is. Papua New Guinea is a full, thick bodied coffee that hits the tongue with honey notes while maintaining some fruitiness. This omni-roast makes a wonderful drip, pour over, french press, espresso- you name it, the coffee is a delight. Pip's pet hooman says that she was a "bottle baby failed foster"- I think we all have a very good idea of what that means! We love her distinct fur and face- a perfect match for the delightfully unique coffee that is PNG!

This Indonesian coffee will deliver a truly unique dark roast experience. Sumatran coffee is known for its distinct spice notes and earthy flavor. We roast this coffee to bring out those delicious flavors without introducing any bitterness. Simba was a very sweet Somali cat that belonged to Zanetta's grandma. He was always gentle and kind. This is a tribute to that sweet boy who passed over the rainbow bridge in 2014.

The Smokey is our true dark roast. For those who enjoy a more smokey, slightly bitter coffee, this is for you. If "I like my coffee as dark as my soul" resonates, then you are in the right spot.Â

Our new decaf coffee from Mexico uses an all natural sugar cane processing method of decaffeination. This process utilizes natural enzymes found in the sugar cane plant, and maintains the integrity of the bean's flavor. Similar to the Swiss Water Process, this method is a more natural way of creating decaf coffee. We prefer this method to Swiss Water Process because it is more environmentally friendly, and it strips less of the coffee's natural flavors, providing you with a full and delicious cup.

Thuthan, like this coffee from Ethiopia, is a little bit imperfect on the outside, but has a heart of gold on the inside. First, we'll talk about the coffee. This coffee is an Ethiopia Sidamo Natural Process--that means that the fruit of the coffee cherry was dried onto the bean, which leaves more delicious fruit notes, but also means that the coffee is nearly impossible to roast perfectly evenly. So the beans are less beautiful, but the taste is unlike any other! Notes of citrus fruits, blueberries, and a touch of floral flavors will hit your tongue in this deliciously complex coffee. Thuthan is a special kitty who had a rough start in life. This girl was born with a cleft lip, was declawed on all four paws, has a nub tail, and two collapsed ears. She was adopted then later found by the shelter on Craigslist abused, beaten, and dejected. Thankfully, Thuthan is living her best life with a human who cares for her, and she was even made famous on TikTok (check it out here)! Even though she's not perfect on the outside, we think she's purrfect to represent our less than perfect coffee!

 This Colombian coffee is roasted to a light, city roast that delivers a unique experience. The coffee comes through sweet and mild, with distinct notes of berries and orange peel. Tia was a sweet, creamy cat who belonged to a good friend. Tia was given her name because of her obsession with rubbing her face on a bag of tortilla chips as a young kitty (hence, Tia, for short).Â

Our original light roast Brazilian coffee flavored like delicious vanilla butter cream icing.  Our flavored coffees contain natural flavorings. We've designed our flavored coffees to have a subtle flavor that complements the coffee and allows the coffee taste to still shine through.
