If this happens, you can just remove the brown fronds by cutting them off and the plant should regrow in the spring. It can of course be grown in pots and brought indoors over the winter months. This tolerant plant will grow in a variety of soils and seems to tolerate dryness or extreme moisture (under water) very well. Once established, they are very easy to divide or new plants can be grown from cuttings. To do this, simply cut off a small frond from the palm and put it in water. In an amazing 7-10 days, you should begin to see roots. Once the plant has taken root, just plant it in soil. Description A cross between a Red Bhutlah (Bhut Jolokia X 7 Pot Douglah) and a 7 Pot Bubblegum (Yellow 7 Pot X Moruga Scorpion). It was made by a Wisconsin grower by the name of Chad Soleski who also happened to be the creator of the original Bhutlah. Like other Bubblegum strains it does not bleed the color of the chili up the calyx and stem. Bhutlah BBG7 is extremely hot. The peppers resemble extra-large Naga peppers but can get small tails at end of pods and be ribbed. It is not totally stable so expect different shapes. 7 Pot Bubblegum - (Capsicum chinense) The Bubblegum 7 pod is a chili pepper from Jon Harper in the UK. It’s also known as Bleeding Bubblegum or BBG7 and is a cross between a Trinidad Morouga Scorpion and Yellow 7 pod pepper.  Jon called it Bubblegum because he thought it had a taste of the Bubbaliscious Bubblegum.  The thick over-sized calyx turned red “bleeding” when pods are left on the plants for longer times.  The 7 Pot Bubblegum pepper is not yet entirely stable.   Heat level:  800,000 to 1,000,000 (SHU) Scoville Heat Units – Extremely Hot Flavor:  Fruity taste, some say it has bubblegum undertones if you can get past the insane Heat!

7 Pot Defcon  - (Capsicum Chinense) The 7 Pot Defcon is a reddish caramel colored pepper that matures to about the size of a golf ball.  Most fruits are wrinkled and fairly round with a tiny pointed tip, however some pods will have a longer scorpion like tail.  The fruits have a typical 7 pot flavor which is fruity and tangy with extreme heat.   Plants get 3-4 feet tall and produces an above average amount of peppers. Heat level:  1,200,000 - 1,500,000 – Extremely Hot. Flavor:  Fruity & Tangy.
