Also called "Asparagus Bean." Extremely popular in Asia and ideal in cool Northern climates, with very slender pods growing quite long. Vigorous pole type yielding a huge crop of slender, tasty pods. Best picked at about 12 in. for maximum tenderness, then cooked in oil as a stir-fry, sautéed or deep fried. Flavor is beany but with an asparagus hint. Needs strong support. Red seeded.
