Thuthan, like this coffee from Ethiopia, is a little bit imperfect on the outside, but has a heart of gold on the inside. First, we'll talk about the coffee. This coffee is an Ethiopia Sidamo Natural Process--that means that the fruit of the coffee cherry was dried onto the bean, which leaves more delicious fruit notes, but also means that the coffee is nearly impossible to roast perfectly evenly. So the beans are less beautiful, but the taste is unlike any other! Notes of citrus fruits, blueberries, and a touch of floral flavors will hit your tongue in this deliciously complex coffee. Thuthan is a special kitty who had a rough start in life. This girl was born with a cleft lip, was declawed on all four paws, has a nub tail, and two collapsed ears. She was adopted then later found by the shelter on Craigslist abused, beaten, and dejected. Thankfully, Thuthan is living her best life with a human who cares for her, and she was even made famous on TikTok (check it out here)! Even though she's not perfect on the outside, we think she's purrfect to represent our less than perfect coffee!

The Smokey is our true dark roast. For those who enjoy a more smokey, slightly bitter coffee, this is for you. If "I like my coffee as dark as my soul" resonates, then you are in the right spot.Â

Our original light roast Brazilian coffee flavored like butter nut toffee! Did you know that we use all natural flavorings? This means that our flavored coffee is a little different (and way more natural!) than other flavored coffees you may buy elsewhere! They are made from a very concentrated alcohol based extract, similar to what you may use in baking. Here's what you can expect:- Our flavorings are more subtle than artificial and oil based flavors. This is by design, our flavored coffees are designed to complement the coffee's natural taste without overpowering it. Some customers may find that the flavoring is a bit light for their taste.- We recommend enjoying our flavored coffees with cream for optimal flavor.- The best way to maximize the flavor is by using an immersion brewing method (such as a French Press).- The alcohol base will be evaporated off of the beans by the time they get to you. So your coffee will not have an oily residue that many flavored coffees have.- Since the alcohol evaporates, nutritionally there are no added carbs, sugars, or calories in our flavored coffee.

Jamaican Me Crazy is a mix of hazelnut, caramel, & Kahlua flavors (don't worry, no alcohol added). As my birthplace, Hawaii is dear to my heart. We are excited to be able to share a little piece of home with you! We blended this Kona coffee with coffee from Guatemala. Keanu was a special little guy who only lived on this earth for a short time. Sadly he passed away only 6 days after he was adopted due to FIV. We name our Kona Blend after him to honor his memory.

I have an espresso machine, how do I get best results with your espresso?For our medium espresso (Bean's), we generally recommend shooting for a 2.5-3:1 ratio. This means if you make your puck 18g of coffee, you should shoot for between 45 and 54g of espresso in the cup. Tamp your puck using roughly 35 lbs of pressure, make sure the puck is not on a slant after tamping. I think that, perhaps, the most common question I have received since founding Kitty Town in 2017 is, "Which coffee is your favorite?" Well, here it is. Papua New Guinea is a full, thick bodied coffee that hits the tongue with honey notes while maintaining some fruitiness. This omni-roast makes a wonderful drip, pour over, french press, espresso- you name it, the coffee is a delight. Pip's pet hooman says that she was a "bottle baby failed foster"- I think we all have a very good idea of what that means!
