NuMex 6-4 Pepper Seeds

Seeking new, improved, delicious peppers? Don’t forget to check out the Numex 6-4 pepper! Like most pepper varieties that bear the NuMex name, the NuMex Heritage 6-4 was improved by the New Mexico State University which has a long history of chile pepper improvement since 1888. The original NuMex 6-4 pepper is from a 1957 seed bank that was re-selected to be improved.

The NuMex 6-4 pepper plant will grow up to 3 ft. and have 10% better yields than previous productions. These 6” Anaheim-type pepper pods will have thicker flesh and smooth skin, making them a great variety to dry.

This pepper is super delicious to try on many dishes, as it has 5 times more flavor and more uniform heat! These will taste sweet once you take a bite out of them. Try using these peppers the next time you make homemade salsa, or add it to fresh or cooked foods to give it a nice mild spice!
