Marie's Macaroni and Cheese recipe uses a not-so-secret ingredient to add a kick to this full flavor classic cheddar mac and cheese.

- 1 pound 16/20 peeled and deveined shrimp, tail-off
- 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 ½ tablespoons butter, divided
- 3 tablespoons A.P. flour
- 2 cup whole milk
- 2 ½ cup water
- 8 ounces elbow macaroni
- 1 ½ shredded cheddar cheese
- ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Seasonings
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon mustard powder

Parmesan Breadcrumb Topping
- 1/3 cup panko
- ¼ cup grated parmesan
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Chopped Parsley for garnish
Directions
- Preheat broiler on high, and mix together Breadcrumb Topping.
- Heat oil and melt 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet or pot on the stove over high heat.
- Add shrimp, sprinkle with pepper, then cook for 1 minute. Add garlic and cook for another minute until the shrimp is almost fully cooked.
- Transfer to bowl. Turn heat down to medium. Melt remaining butter. Add flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Pour milk in slowly, stirring constantly. Once incorporated and lump free, stir in seasonings, then water.
- Once the liquid is hot, add
macaroni. Cook for 8 minutes, stirring regularly, until macaroni is almost
cooked through, then remove from stove.
