One of the most sought-after peppers in the United States, the Charleston hot pepper is a very popular Cayenne variety with amazing growing qualities and an incredible flavor. This variety came from plant pathologist Phil Dukes, whose 12-year-long development of this pepper was met with widespread acclaim and high demand. Once you get your hands on these pepper seeds, growing them is fairly easy, as these pepper plants reach about 2-3 ft. tall and produce high yields of fresh peppers per plant. The rainbow colors start out yellow-green, then golden yellow, bright orange then deep red when it ripens. It is about 20 times hotter than the typical Cayenne (about 70,000 to 80,000 Scoville Units) and can be grown anywhere in the USA. The Charleston pepper has a neutral (peppery) flavor that makes it wonderful for drying and grinding into a nice chili powder to use on any food. The Chocolate Ghost Pepper is believed to be a variant of the Red Ghost Pepper that stemmed from crossing with a 7 Pot Douglah. That lineage creates this fabulous pepper which can actually have pods HOTTER than the Ghost Pepper, with a taste all of its own. Although the Chocolate Ghost chili has never officially been tested for Scoville Heat Units, most estimates are in the 800,000 to 1,001,304 range. This is a fun Chile to grow and add to your collection. Love the Carolina Reaper? Try the rare, scorching, intriguing Chocolate Reaper, a cross between the Red Carolina Reaper and the Chocolate Trinidad Moruga Scorpion pepper. The Chocolate Reaper is still being bred out for stability, but we want our customers to be the first to try it. Since these peppers are not yet 100% stable, there may be variations in pods for several generations. You may have heard of the traditional Serrano pepper, but have you heard of the prolific Purple Serrano? Also known as the Purple Serrano Chili, Serrano Chili, or Serrano Chili Pepper, this beautiful purple-colored pepper is slightly longer than the traditional serrano pepper and is milder in spice. The similarity they share is the same shape, resembling a candle-flame shape. These pods grow up to around 4" long and have beautiful shiny purple skin. A cross between a Red Trinidad 7 Pot and a Naga Viper, the 7 Pot Katie packs a punch with a fruity flavor. This pepper hails from the U.K. as their hottest-bred pepper and was created by Nick Duran - aka "Naga Nick." The 7 Pot Katie pepper plants are very productive and can grow over 4' tall. The pepper pods grow bountifully on these sturdy plants and will reach between 1-3" long, ripening from green to dark red when mature. 7 Pot Katie peppers are shaped like mini pendants and have wrinkly skin to show off how devilishly hot these peppers really are! The Mosco Chile Pepper is a delicious meaty Annuum variety developed in Pueblo, Colorado over a number of years using selective breeding, and is now considered the official pepper of the state of Colorado! This is a larger version of the Mirasol chile that you won't regret growing. These pepper plants grow up to around 2-1/2 feet tall, growing much faster in high elevation and short/dry climates. You'll see these pods grow up to 5-8" long with thick walls and smooth skin, ripening from a green to a bright red color at maturity. Mosco Chiles have a nice medium heat with a unique sweet flavor that makes for one amazing red chile sauce.
