One of the most sought-after peppers in the United States, the Charleston hot pepper is a very popular Cayenne variety with amazing growing qualities and an incredible flavor. This variety came from plant pathologist Phil Dukes, whose 12-year-long development of this pepper was met with widespread acclaim and high demand. Once you get your hands on these pepper seeds, growing them is fairly easy, as these pepper plants reach about 2-3 ft. tall and produce high yields of fresh peppers per plant. The rainbow colors start out yellow-green, then golden yellow, bright orange then deep red when it ripens. The yellow Fatalii pepper (also spelled "Fatali") is an African heirloom known for its unassuming heat that hits you after the first bite. It's definitely not "fatal" to eat these peppers, but they are one of the spiciest peppers around! The Fatalii pepper plant grows to 3 ft. tall and produces pepper pods around 3" long. The conical-shaped pods taper off to a point and have wrinkly yellow skin that matures from green to its final yellow color. Also known as the Ice Cream Scorpion, this pepper has a great flavor with a hint of vanilla and grapefruit citrus. The I Scream Scorpion pepper has slightly less heat than other Scorpions, the Scoville on this one ranges from 200,000 - 500,000. I Scream Scorpion peppers grow on 2-3 ft. tall pepper plants. You'll notice peppers beginning to form, taking a similar shape to their Scorpion counterparts and extending up to 3" long. Note: these peppers are slow to germinate and may take as long as four weeks to sprout, and may take 175 days to harvest. The I Scream Scorpion matures from green, to light yellow, to dark yellow with hints of orange. You can tell how dangerous this pepper is with its scorpion tail, and you may scream because of how hot it is! The I Scream Scorpion pepper has a great flavor with a hint of vanilla and grapefruit citrus and slightly less heat than other Scorpions. The Scoville on this one ranges from 200,000 - 500,000 - similar to the Habaneros, but slightly less heat than most Scorpions. Bubblegum never tasted so good! The Bhutlah Bubblegum 7 Pot Red pepper is a cross between a Red Bhutlah (Bhut Jolokia x 7 Pot Douglah) and a 7 Pot Bubblegum (Yellow Pot x Moruga Scorpion). This was created by the Wisconsin grower named Chad Soleski who happens to be the creator of the original Bhutlah. The Bhutlah Bubblegum 7 Pot Red pepper plant will grow over 4 feet tall. The genetic makeup of this pepper is a rather interesting blend; it is thought that the Bhutlah genetics play a crucial part in the overall shape, while the Bubblegum genetics cause the wrinkly skin. These A1 chili seeds resemble extra-large Naga peppers but can grow small tails at the end of pods. You'll notice fruity and floral flavors with incredible heat when you taste these peppers! The Dragon's Toe Pepper comes to us all the way from Southern China. This uniquely wrinkly hybrid pepper has an excellent flavor and pungency used in a lot of different fresh or cooked Asian foods. Maule's Red Pepper gets its name from William Henry Maule who introduced us to this pepper from his Philadelphia-based seed company in the early 1900s. Expect these fruits to grow between 8-10" long with elongated pendant shapes and smooth, shiny skin, changing color from green to bright red color when they reach maturity. The Mosco Chile Pepper is a delicious meaty Annuum variety developed in Pueblo, Colorado over a number of years using selective breeding, and is now considered the official pepper of the state of Colorado! This is a larger version of the Mirasol chile that you won't regret growing. These pepper plants grow up to around 2-1/2 feet tall, growing much faster in high elevation and short/dry climates.
