The 7 Pot Barrackpore pepper, a rare variation of the original 7 Pot, ranks among the hottest peppers in the world.

This plant reaches approximately 4 feet in height and is highly productive. Barrackpore peppers, larger than typical 7 Pot Varieties, grow up to 3 inches long and feature a dimpled, wrinkly appearance, often with a tail resembling a scorpion pepper. The pods transition from green to bright red as they mature. 

Named for their ability to spice up seven pots of stew with a single pod, the 7 Pot pepper varieties are known for their extreme heat. The Barrackpore pepper offers a slightly sweet taste with more bitterness than its relatives, making it more ideal for drying and grinding into powder form.
