Mirasol Chile Peppers are flavorful mild peppers to add to any dish! A very common choice used in Peruvian cooking, the name Mirasol means "looking at the sun" in Spanish, because of the peppers' upward growth. 

These pepper plants grow up to be 2 ft. tall and produce clusters of these conical-shaped pods that stretch up to 4-5" long and about 1-2" wide. Their smooth, shiny skin is irresistible, and when the peppers reach their mature bright red color, you'll want to pick these straight away and use them in your next meal!

What's unique about the Mirasol is that it's also referred to as the Guajillo when dried. But don't get confused, as the Guajillo pepper has slight differences in appearance, flavor, and heat level. Mirasol peppers have a spicy, fruity flavor with berry-like undertones that are great for roasting, salsas, seasoning, sauces, and poultry dishes. You'll feel the mild heat right away before the mellow flavors set in!
