Pineapple Tomatillos are a unique ground cherry with delicious, juicy pineapple flavors!
Grow these fruits on compact, 1.5 ft. tall plants and watch them grow and abundance of tiny 1” fruits. Pineapple Tomatillos turn from green to yellow-gold when they mature and have a nice, smooth texture. Their husk also grows and changes color from green to brown while ripening. When it comes time to harvest, these husks split open, with some saying the fruits will entirely fall off the plant!
You can husk and rinse Pineapple Tomatillos before eating them fresh. They make for an especially delicious, pineapple-flavored salsa, as well as a flavorful addition to salads and desserts. You can also can these tomatillos or infuse them into your next homemade jam!
