Description Another great Fatalii variety, this chocolate one seems to be the hottest of all other colors. This extreme heat made is a great choice for making powder rather than using fresh like the rest of the Fatalii family.  One of the few Capsicum chinense species with origins in Africa.  Very productive plant setting dark green pods, turning chocolate in an early season, the pods have Smokey-earthy floral smell.  The Fatalii pepper carries about the same heat as a habanero, but provides more of a citrus favor under all that heat. Description This is the Chocolate version of the King Naga.  Believed to have originated from Bangladesh like other Nagas. It grows huge dark brown pods that dwarf the Chocolate Bhut Jolokia. A very productive plant that will reach up to 3 feet in height.  Average heat between 700,000-800,000 Scoville units. The stability of this variety is unknown because not many have grown it. So it is possible you could get red King Naga pods. But in any case a new variety worth growing. Heat level:  700,000-800,000 (SHU) Scoville Heat Units – Extremely Hot. Chocolate Bhutlah CS - (Capsicum chinense) Possibly the next World Record Holder of the hottest pepper. The first ever Bhutlah variety was created by Chad Soleski. So CS is his initials. It was a cross between the Bhut Jolokia and the 7 Pot Douglah. His friend Steve gave it the nickname Bhutlah. It was a Red color but then later Steve and others got Chocolate variants that were much larger than the original red variety. Chad finally got his own Chocolate type and this is it. It does not make as large a pepper as the other Chocolate Bhutlah. But it is more consistent in shape and size. It is just as hot and much more productive. The Chocolate Bhutlah CS has smoky fruity tones. The Chocolate Bhutlah chili plants grow over 4 feet tall. Aji Cachucha - (Capsicum chinense) Aji Cachucha are native to Cuba and Puerto Rico and is also known as Aji Dulce.  This dark red type hails from Cuba. It has mild heat and is sweet.  The pepper may be confused with the similar looking Scotch Bonnet and habanero pepper but is not as hot.  Used as a seasoning pepper in rice and bean dishes. Also used to season soups and stews and can be stuffed with small amounts of meats and cheeses.  The Aji Cachucha has a round shape looking almost like a bonnet or toy top. Komodo Dragon - (Capsicum chinense) The Komodo Dragon was introduced in 2015 and went on sale at Tesco stores in the UK.  Originally created by Salvatore Genovese it has a delayed fuse of 10 or so seconds before the bomb of heat to kick in.  Prior to the explosion of heat you taste the fruitiness and wonderful flavor of the sneaky beast.  The plants produce 1.5-2.5 inch peppers that ripen from green to deep red.  The plants reach to 3-4 feet tall and are extremely productive. The genetic makeup of this pepper is a rather interesting blend; it is thought that the Bhutlah genetics play a crucial part in the overall shape, while the Bubblegum genetics cause the wrinkly skin. These A1 chili seeds resemble extra-large Naga peppers but can grow small tails at the end of pods. You'll notice fruity and floral flavors with incredible heat when you taste these peppers! Aji Dulce Pepper Seeds from $5.75
The Aji Dulce, AKA the Aji Cachucha, is quite a unique pepper. Native to the Caribbean, this strain came from grower Ed Fraser, with the help of Robert Hadad from Cornell University and friends in Puerto Rico, Ed could identify Line 7, clearly an authentic Puerto Rican Aji Dulce. When growing an Aji Dulce, they reach about 1.5 ft. tall when they begin bearing fruit. They make for great container plants to grow bountiful 2" long peppers. The Aji Dulce ripens from lime green to red and has a habanero-like appearance that includes wrinkly skin and vibrant colors. These pepper plants yield better when started three weeks earlier than classic (C. annuum) peppers. Like its shape, the Aji Dulce has the same aroma and flavor as habaneros. Its rich, tropical sweetness, smoky undertones, and mouth-watering zesty flavor make this pepper very addicting!
