Scotch Bonnet Freeport Orange - (Capsicum chinense)
Scotch Bonnet Freeport Orange originated from Freeport, Bahamas. It is very similar to the Bahamian Goat. As with most Scotch Bonnets they have a similar heat level as a Habanero. They have a sweet floral flavor with a slow burn that hits the back of your throat. The peppers are bonnet shaped usually with 3 to 4 lobs and some come to a tiny point. They ripen from green to an Orange-cream color. Plants are extremely productive and can reach around 3-4 feet tall.
Heat level: 150,000 to 300,000(SHU) Scoville Heat Units – Very Hot.
Flavor: Sweet Fruity & Floral.
MOA Scotch Bonnet Red - (Capsicum chinense)
This is a larger Red Variant of the MOA Scotch Bonnet. Ministry of agriculture (MOA) Jamaican scotch bonnet. The seeds of this true authentic, rare, yet famous (in Jamaica) Scotch bonnet were spread by Steve Queen from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This Scotch Bonnet type is recognized by the government of Jamaica as being a true Scotch Bonnet type for commercial growing. It is very prolific with a nice sweet flavor. It is a must grow for those that like Scotch Bonnets. It ripens from green to Red.
Heat level: 250,000-350,000 (SHU) Scoville Heat Units – Very Hot.
Flavor: Fruitiness, Sweet.
Mutant X - (Capsicum chinense)The Mutant X pepper is a superhot cross created by Master grower Matthew Arthur. It's a cross of the MA Wartryx and the Jay’s Peach Ghost Scorpion. I have to say these were one of the gnarliest looking pods of all the peppers we grew this year. The pods are 1.5 to 2.5 inches long and very spiky; some with longer tails than others. They ripen from green to bright red. Heat is very intense and a very fast burn and the flavor is very sweet with a slight smokiness if you have the tolerance to taste it.Heat level: Approx. 1,000,000 - 1,200,000 (SHU) Scoville Heat Units – Extremely Hot.Flavor: Sweet with a slight smokiness.
Fool’s Gold Scorpion - (Capsicum chinense)
The Fools Gold Scorpion surfaced back in 2019. I sent my Russian friend, Nikita some Trinidad Chocolate Scorpion seeds and he grew out a yellow variant. He called it Fool’s Gold. It had the same shape and taste as the chocolate variety. He then sent some seeds back to us and we grew out the "Fool's Gold Scorpion" in 2020. Most pods on the plant were pretty consistent however these still could be unstable. Pods are pendant shaped and look very similar to a yellow ghost but much hotter. Plants get to about 3-4 feet and are very productive.
Heat level: Estimated around 1,000,000(SHU) Scoville Heat Units – Extremely Hot.
Flavor: Very Fruity & Citrusy.
Brazilian Starfish Yellow - (Capsicum bacattum)
The Brazilian Starfish Yellow is an eyecatcher. They are a mutation of the very popular Brazilian Starfish Red variety. The 1-2 inch pods somewhat resemble a starfish. They have thick walls making them very crunchy. Goes great in salads, salsas, sauces and pickling. The taste is citrusy and heat is somewhat low to medium ringing in around 40k on the Scoville scale.Heat level: 30,000-50,000 (SHU) Scoville Heat Units – Low/Medium Heat.Flavor: Sweet and citrusy.

Its flavor profile combines fruity and smoky notes, adding depth to culinary creations. Bhut Jolokia x Pimenta de Neyde - (Capsicum chinense)
These are the very attractive Bhut Jolokia x Pimenta de Neyde cross that produces peppers with a smooth shiny texture.
The plants stems are black and the fruits start out black as well and ripen to a deep blood red with black accents. If you enjoy beautiful varieties, don't miss out on this one.

Redgum TigerMAMP x Chocolate Nagabrains - (Capsicum Chinense)
Hybrid created by Enrico Lai. Very beautiful color progression of the pepper pods. Peppers start off purple/black hues and ripens to red with black. Plant has a very beautiful dark purple and green foliage. Fruits are 2-3 inches in length and are very bumpy. Very rare.
Heat level: Approximately 400-500,000 SHU.
Flavor: Very hot with sweet fruity tones.
Red Savina x Scotch Bonnet MOA - (Capsicum chinense)
This is a cross that we created between the Red Savina and a Red MOA Scotch Bonnet. They ripen from green to red and measure 2 to 3 inches with a slight bonnet shape to them. They are thick walled and heavier than a typical habanero. It's an extremely hot habanero/ scotch bonnet cross with a great sweet flavor.
Heat level: 300k - 400k (SHU) Scoville Heat Units – Very Hot.

The Big Yellow Mama is the Red variant of the Big Black Mama that was created by Horticulturist and grower Troy Pimeaux. He was the creator of the 7 Pot Primo. It is much lower heat than the Big Black Mama. This is a new variant not much is known about stability.
Heat level: 750,000+ (SHU) Scoville Heat Units - Extremely Hot!
Flavor: Sweet fruity flavor, with citrus tones.
Purple Tiger x Jalapeno - (Capsicum Annuum)The Purple Tiger x Jalapeno is a cross between the two varieties. It is one of the most beautiful pepper plants you will come across. The variegated leaves are stunning to look at. The fruits produced are 2-3 inch slim jalapeno shaped with striping. They start out purple and ripen to a deep red. As it ripens you will see the transition mature with the striping effects. The peppers have a sweetness to them with a medium heat making them great for adding vibrant color to salads, salsas and many other recipes.

Aji Sugar Rush Red - (Capsicum bacattum)
The Sugar Rush Red like other Aji types is very fruity and sweet with a heat level below habaneros. They are very prolific and need a long season. The peppers ripen from green to dark red and are elongated. They are about 4 to 6 inches in length. They are excellent for salsas, roasting and stuffing. The Sugar Rush Red chili plants usually need staking to support and can grow over 5 feet tall.

Aji Guyana - (Capsicum baccatum)The Aji Guyana is named after the country of Guyana, located in the northern part of South America on the border with Venezuela.It's also known as Guyana or Little Bird of Guyana. The peppers have a wonderful medium heat with fruity and citrusy notes. Peppers get 5-6 inches in length and almost an inch wide.They grow quickly and are an extremely productive plant so it definitely needs to be staked up or supported. One of the better tasting Aji varieties.Heat level: 5,000 - 15,000(SHU) Scoville Heat Units – Mild/Medium.Flavor: Fruity & Citrusy & Tangy.

Devil's Tongue Peach - (Capsicum Chinense)
This is a peach variant of the Devil's Tongue that showed up in our garden this year. Incredible looking 3 inch pendant shaped peppers with a pointed end. A tad less heat than a habanero and sweeter. Starts off green and matures to peach. Makes a great looking hot sauce or salsa. They have a very thin wall so they dry very well for making powders. A must for any garden.
Heat level: 150k-300k SHU – Very Hot.
Flavor: Sweet & Fruity.
Aji Pineapple - (Capsicum baccatum)
The Aji Pineapple is a beautiful and rare yellow baccatum pepper with pendant shaped fruits that grow 2-3 inches long. Very similar to the Aji Lemon Drop but have a slightly different taste reminiscent of a pineapple. Very fruity and sweet. Perfect for hot sauces. Also great for drying and making powder. The Aji Pineapple is very easy to grow and produces an enormous amount of peppers. They ripen from green to yellow and the bushy plant grows to about 2-3 feet tall on average.
Heat level: 20,000 to 30,000(SHU) Scoville Heat Units – Medium/Hot.
Flavor: Very Fruity Sweet Pineapple.
Black Bastard - (Capsicum chinense)
The Black Bastard was developed by Bryan Townshend. They start off black and ripen to a slightly red hue and dark red on the inside when fully ripe. Plants get 4-5 feet tall and vegetation is a beautiful dark purple. Extremely pretty variety! Still very unstable.
Heat level: 400,000 to 600,000(SHU) Scoville Heat Units – Very Hot.
Flavor: Earthy but sweet and fruity.
Aleppo - (Capsicum annuum)
This very popular pepper originated from the Syrian town of Aleppo near the southern Turkish border. It is also known as the Halaby pepper. These peppers grow 2-3 inches long and ripen from green to deep red. Even though they have been used in dishes for hundreds of years they have taken on a culinary boom in popularity recently. They are most commonly dried and used as flakes. They add a medium heat that dissipates quickly.
Heat level: 5,000 to 20,000(SHU) Scoville Heat Units – Medium Hot.
Flavor: Fruity, Sweet & Raisin-like.
Death Spiral - (Capsicum chinense)
The Death Spiral or Death Pepper is a variant of the Naga Bubblegum Red cross from the United Kingdom originally made by grower Terry Smith. It has a very bumpy spiral ridge pattern all around the pod. They ripen from light green to peach then to orange and finally red. The pepper has a very quick burn and is hotter than most Naga types. Consistency is not proven yet but most of the pods from what we grew for seeds produced a very consistent shape.
Heat level: 1,200,000 - 1,300,000+(SHU) Scoville Heat Units – Nuclear Heat.
Flavor: Has a fruity flavor with slight citrus notes.
7 Pot Defcon - (Capsicum Chinense)
The 7 Pot Defcon is a reddish caramel colored pepper that matures to about the size of a golf ball. Most fruits are wrinkled and fairly round with a tiny pointed tip, however some pods will have a longer scorpion like tail. The fruits have a typical 7 pot flavor which is fruity and tangy with extreme heat. Plants get 3-4 feet tall and produces an above average amount of peppers.
Heat level: 1,200,000 - 1,500,000 – Extremely Hot.
Flavor: Fruity & Tangy.
Biquinho - (Capsicum chinense)
Pronounced bee-KEE-nyo, this beautiful pepper originated from Brazil. Also known as the "little beak" pepper or the "Chupetinho". They are shaped as a reversed tear drop and grow to about an inch in length. They are great when pickled and look amazing in salads and go well in salsas too. The heat of the pepper is described as adding a little kiss of heat due to its mild level of spiciness. The plant produces an enormous amount of fruits and grows 2-3 feet in height. A must have addition for anyone’s garden.
Heat level: 1000-2000 (SHU) Scoville Heat Units – Mild to Medium Heat
Flavor: Very Sweet and Tangy with a mild zip of heat.
