Aji Ayuyo - (Capsicum baccatum)The Aji Ayuyo is a beautiful pepper that originated from Peru. The color progression as it ripens is impressive. The jellybean looking fruits ripen from a deep purple to creamy purple then turn an iridescent orange and finally to a bright red. The fruits are very thick walled making them pretty heavy for their size. The plants a very bushy and vine like and do best when supported by a trellis. We had ours growing through a chain link fence and it grew perfectly. The peppers are very juicy and have a sweet tangy flavor with mild heat. Primotalii - Seeds from $5.99
Primotalii - (Capsicum chinense) Also goes by Primotailii.  The Primotalii pepper is a cross between the 7 Pot Primo and the Yellow Fatalii. It was created by Chris Saunders of the UK.  A majority of the peppers on the 3 foot tall plants develop very long thin tails.  Peppers are extremely hot similar to that of the Carolina Reaper. The peppers ripen from green to red. Heat level:  Estimated over 1,000,000 (SHU) Scoville Heat Units – Nuclear Heat. Flavor:  Fruity, Citrusy, Sweet with Floral Tones.

Red Savina - Seeds from $5.99
Description Red Savina - (Capsicum Chinense) The Red Savina was once the hottest pepper in the world at 577k shu's but lost its crown to the Ghost Pepper in 2007.  Until 2011, it was protected by the U.S. Plant Variety Protection Act.  They ripen from green to red and measure 1.5 to 2 inches and typically a round slightly wrinkled lantern shape.  They are an extremely hot habanero with a great sweet flavor. Description The yellow version of the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion has a fruity flavor like the Trinidad Yellow 7 Pot but does not get as large even though it does resemble the Yellow 7 Pot. Description This is the Chocolate version of the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion that scored a world record heat of over 2,000,000 Scoville units. It is also called the Brown Moruga Scorpion. The heat level is comparable to the red Moruga Scorpion but it has a much sweeter flavor. Purple Death - (Capsicum chinense)This is one underrated pepper and a must grow if you are a fan of the darker foliage plants. The Purple Death is a cross between a 7 Pot Primo and a Purple Ghost pepper. It looks similar to the Primo but ripens from green to purple then orange to red with slight purple accents. When you cut into them they have a purplish placenta. Plants have dark leaves and purple flowers and grow to 4-5 feet tall and put out an extreme amount of pods. Datil - (Capsicum chinense) The Datil pepper was first brought to St. Augustine, Florida by Minorcans in 1763 from Menorca in the Balearic Islands off the coast of Spain.  The beautiful yellow fruits grow from 1-4 inches in length and are lantern shaped.  They have the heat close to a Habanero but are sweeter and tangier.  The plants will get up to 4 feet tall and produce an abundant amount of peppers.  They are a culinary favorite to cook with and used for spice mixes, marinades and sauces for chicken, beef and seafood dishes. Heat level: 100,000 - 300,000 SHU - Very Hot.Flavor: Very Sweet, Tangy & Fruity.

Fresno Chile - (Capsicum Annuum) If you like to cook with peppers, the Red Fresno Chile should be your go-to. They were created in the 1950's and named after the county of Fresno in California. Very similar and often mistaken as a Jalapeno, the Fresno has a more complex flavor with a little more heat. They have a wonderful sweet smokiness and the heat is slow building. They have thin walls making them great for drying and making powders. They are very versatile when cooking with and go great in salads, salsas and perfect for making flavorful hot sauces. It is a very bright zingy flavor.  The peppers are shaped like little hats and have a creamy white color when fully ripened.  One of our favorites!!
