Scotch Bonnet Freeport Orange - (Capsicum chinense)
Scotch Bonnet Freeport Orange originated from Freeport, Bahamas. It is very similar to the Bahamian Goat. As with most Scotch Bonnets they have a similar heat level as a Habanero. They have a sweet floral flavor with a slow burn that hits the back of your throat. The peppers are bonnet shaped usually with 3 to 4 lobs and some come to a tiny point. They ripen from green to an Orange-cream color. Plants are extremely productive and can reach around 3-4 feet tall.

This is a larger Red Variant of the MOA Scotch Bonnet. Ministry of agriculture (MOA) Jamaican scotch bonnet. The seeds of this true authentic, rare, yet famous (in Jamaica) Scotch bonnet were spread by Steve Queen from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This Scotch Bonnet type is recognized by the government of Jamaica as being a true Scotch Bonnet type for commercial growing. It is very prolific with a nice sweet flavor. The flavor is sweet and fruity and have heat similar to a cayenne pepper. The walls are fairly thick so they are hearty and crunchy.
