The Wa Mae Wo Hot Korean peppers look very similar to Thai peppers, but these slender pods are bred for their strong pungent flavors and high productivity. This heirloom pepper deserves to be called Chinese Giant Pepper as it is one of the bigger bell peppers! This was the first bell pepper of the truly giant bell peppers. Introduced in the 1900s, it was twice as big as the largest bell pepper of its day. Also known as the "Ring o Fire pepper" or "Ring of Fire Cayenne pepper", this is a newer variety of the Cayenne pepper. Ring of Fire peppers are similar in appearance, color, and heat, but they are much more productive and reach an earlier maturity stage, perfect for growers with shorter warmer seasons! The Buena Mulata is a beautiful ornamental heirloom hot pepper that closely resembles a classic cayenne, except for its early purple color. Buena Mulata pods can grow to be 6-7 inches long and plants can be grown in containers or garden beds. The Mulato Island Pepper, or Mulato Isleno, is similar in shape and flavor to the Ancho Poblano pepper, but has a slightly different flavor and completely different color as it reaches maturity.
